Anthony Hickey, Ph.D.
President and CEO
 
Professor Hickey was awarded a Ph.D. in Pharmaceutics from the University of Aston in Birmingham, United Kingdom in 1985. Since then he has worked in the field of drug delivery to the respiratory tract. He has focused on the development of aqueous and non-aqueous solution / suspension formulations for nebulizer and propellant-driven metered dose inhalers and dry powder formulations for delivery to the lungs. He was the recipient of the Young Investigator Award in Pharmaceutics and Pharmaceutical Technology from the American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists in 1990. He has consulted for the pharmaceutical industry for over a decade. In this capacity many of the projects have taken him into research on other dosage forms including solids and parenteral products.
 
Jean-Marc Bovet, Ph.D.

Dr. Bovet received a B.S. in Chemistry and a B.S. in Cellular and Molecular Biology in 1985 and a Ph.D. in Chemistry in 1993 from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. Before co-founding Cirrus Pharmaceuticals, Inc. with Dr. Anthony Hickey, Dr. Bovet was a post-doctoral fellow in pharmaceutics at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, NC.

Dr. Bovet's responsibilities at Cirrus Pharmaceuticals, Inc. include business development, legal and financial affairs as well as analytical sciences, powder technology and pharmaceutical nanotechnology.
 
Li Li Bovet, Ph.D., MBA

Dr. Li Li Bovet received her Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry from the University of Michigan in 1989. Her next two years were spent as a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Michigan's Pharmacy School (Pharmaceutics Department). Dr. Bovet's postdoctoral research was focused primarily on nucleation and crystallization mechanisms of amino acids and proteins.

Dr. Bovet worked in the inhalation product development department at GlaxoSmithKline and the formulation department at Schering-Plough Research Institute for more than 6 years before joining Cirrus Pharmaceuticals in 1998. Her industry experience includes business development, project management, product development, and human resources administration. In addition to her expertise in formulating inhalation products (Metered Dose Inhaler, Nebulizer, and Dry Powder Inhaler), nasal spray, oral solutions, and topical dosage forms, Dr. Bovet has participated in a full range of research and product development activities including pre-formulation, IND submission, scale-up batch manufacturing, and NDA submission. She has also served as a consultant to several pharmaceutical companies.
