Cirrus Pharmaceuticals is recruiting for a West Coast Account Manager. This position will be field-based and will be responsible for covering a specific geography. The business development department is responsible for identifying, negotiating, and securing new product development business and for managing business relationships with current customers. The ideal candidate must be located within the west coast territory or be willing to relocate as needed.

Responsibilities:
• Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities within assigned territory.
• Identifies key account decision makers and influencers.
• Ability to prioritize time on the right opportunities to maximize results.
• Understands the customer's decision making processes.
• Serves as a Cirrus business development representative at professional meetings, seminars, and conferences.
• Schedules meetings with prospective clients.
• Laboratory experience is an asset.
• Must have good oral and written communication skills, good organizational skills, and a good working knowledge of computers and programs such as Word and Excel.

Qualifications:
• Proven track record with new account penetration is required.
• Proven ability to organize and plan work, manage travel, and balance multiple priorities effectively are required.
• Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills are required.
• Ability to interact effectively with scientists and technical staff is required.
• Must be willing and able to travel 50% to visit clients as well as meet with clients at the Cirrus facility.
• This position is not eligible for relocation assistance.

Education and Experience:
A BS/BA degree is required in a scientific discipline related to pharmaceuticals/biopharmaceuticals. 0-2 years relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
