Responsibilities:
This position will report to Cirrus' Director, Drug Delivery and will be responsible for building a team, leading and managing projects in a dynamic, rapidly growing CRO environment where they will work with our sponsors to develop biopharmaceutical applications of the future. Additional responsibilities include, mentoring, training and supervising other scientists; Serving as scientific project, task, and analytical leader; Supporting business development to develop new business. The successful candidate will be able to work independently with advanced formulation techniques and analytical instrumentation, such as particle size reduction and solubility enhancement techniques, HPLC, GC, particle sizing, TGA, DSC, DVS, etc.

Qualifications:
MS or PhD. in the Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemistry or similar discipline is required. Ten (10) years of experience in pharmaceutical industry is required. Five (5) years of experience in preclinical/early stage clinical product development in the pharmaceutical industry is required. Publication/patent history related to formulation development in scientific peer reviewed journals is preferred. Strong organizational, communication, verbal and written skills required. Three (3) years of project management or supervisor experience is required. Excellent documentation and record keeping skills are essential. Must be detailed oriented, able to keep to a timeline, and be self-motivated. The candidate must be customer service oriented and a team player.
