Responsibilities:
Recruitment
• Manages the employment recruiting program, to include advertising, internal and external job postings, pre-employment testing, candidate selections, candidate interviews, applicant tracking, extending offers, and new employee orientation, etc.
Employee Relations
• Evaluates, recommends, and oversees all areas of employee relations to include complaint procedures, disciplinary actions, legal issues, investigations, processing of suggestion box requests, exit interviews, terminations, and outplacement.
• Develops and manages any Employee Recognition Programs.
• Prepares, updates, and monitors compliance of all Human Resources forms, policies and procedures. Ensures communications of policy and procedures to all supervisory teams and employees.
• Maintains employee directory, and all employment statistics.
• Maintains personnel files according to government regulations.
• Acts as the company liaison to state employment commissions in the determination of unemployment issues.
• Maintain knowledge of government regulations including the Labor Board, EEOC, Title VII, HIPAA regulations, etc.
• Maintain posting requirements for the State and Federal Departments of Labor, OSHA, and the EEOC.
Benefits
• Plans, directs implementation and administration of employee benefit programs such as health insurance, disability insurance, life insurance, workers compensation, employee assistance, and other plans.
• Provides services to employees to answer their benefits questions, resolve problems related to access to or payment of benefits, orient newly eligible employees, and process enrollment forms and changes.
• Analyzes, evaluates, and solicits feedback from employees regarding benefits services, coverage, and options available through insurance companies to determine programs that best meet needs of organization.
• Notifies employees of changes in benefits programs.
• Audits benefit plans for compliance with government regulations. Prepares and submits government-mandated reports.
Career Development
• Manages Educational Reimbursement Program.
• Evaluates and recommends development of supervisory-level personnel.
• Supports and Promotion processing
• Manages Educational Reimbursement Program.
Employee Training
• Prepares and conducts training of employees/management on Human Resources related topics.
Organizational Development
• Maintains Organizational charts and Organization Chart SOP.
• Maintains listing of general job descriptions.
• Facilitates team-building and social programs.
Performance Evaluation
• Maintain and manage performance evaluation procedures.
• Monitor and track performance evaluation process for process improvement.
Goals / Timing
• Complete tasks within agreed upon timeframe
• Track time and fill out timesheet
Communication
• Communicate clearly and effectively with all employees in order to resolve issues
• Prepares and communicates information to employees and former employees about benefits programs, procedures, changes, and government-mandated disclosures.
• Communicate effectively with management regarding requirements for open positions in order to recruit effectively
GMP / GLP / Safety Procedures and Compliance
• Adhere to SOPs and GMP/GLP/Safety requirements.
• Accurately document all necessary training in training manual.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment.
Qualifications:
The Human Resources Generalist will have at least a four year degree in a related field, HR Certification, 5+ years Human Resources experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, and possess a broad knowledge of human resources principles, practices and procedures.
